Global Search

Find anything in your workspace instantly

    Quick Access

Global search is accessible from anywhere in the management interface using the Cmd+K (macOS) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) keyboard shortcut. A search dialog opens immediately, ready for you to type your query.

    What is Searched

Global search queries across all major areas in your workspace:

    • Tickets — searched by title and description. Results show the ticket type (incident, problem, change), status, and priority.
    • Issues — searched by title and description. Results show status and severity.
    • Controls — searched by title and description. Results show the test frequency.
    • Configuration items — searched by name, description, hostname, and IP address.
    • Entities — searched by name.
    • Business processes — searched by name.
    • Users — searched by username and email.
    • Vendors — searched by name.

    Fuzzy Matching

Search uses case-insensitive substring matching. Typing "fire" will match an asset named "Production Firewall", an incident titled "Firewall rule misconfiguration", or a vendor named "Fortinet Firewalls". This makes it easy to find records even when you only remember part of the name.

    Results

Results are grouped by type and ranked by relevance. Exact prefix matches (where your query matches the start of the title) appear first. Within each relevance tier, results are ordered by type priority: tickets and issues appear before configuration items, entities, and vendors.

Each result shows a title, a subtitle with contextual information (type, status, severity), and links directly to the record's detail page. Click a result to navigate there instantly.
